Samir doesn't even flinch while Fabiola treats him. Every week he comes alone to Fabiola's EARTH MEDICINE container on time to get treatment. His entire body hurts him permanently. When I ask him about his parents, there's only tears in his eyes. My heart is tearing up. The trauma and grief make his body cramp permanently.
Samir is one of 500 unaccompanied children at the refugee camp in Lesbos.
Physical therapist Fabiola Velasquez has been treating people who are not heard anywhere else in her small colorful container at Kara Tepe Camp for over a year now.

"Samir zuckt nicht einmal während Fabiola ihn behandelt. Jede Woche kommt er alleine pünktlich zu Fabiolas Container „Earth Medicine“ um sich behandeln zu lassen. Sein gesamter Körper schmerzt ihn dauerhaft. Als ich ihn nach seinen Eltern frage steigen nur Tränen in seine Augen. Mein Herz zerreißt. Das Trauma und die Trauer lassen seinen Körper dauerhaft verkrampfen.
